These One Ball Wonders are a fan favorite! I initially posted this recipe in one of my weekly emails and have since received so many requests for the recipe, I had to add it to the website too. These seem to hit just right for nearly everybody! Their genesis was my desire to have a healthy mid-afternoon snack that was also well balanced in carbs/protein/fat. I've been known to have one for dessert. If you love pumpkin pie, these balls can give you some of that year-round holiday delight.

Walk On The Wild Side
Wild rice seems so...rustic. It's hearty and earthy and I don't use it nearly enough. It started there. But the real star of this One Bowl Wonder? THE PEANUT BUTTER-MISO SAUCE. Maybe it's just me but I want this flavor again and again. Next time I'm doubling the amount of sauce so I can put it on other stuff just to see how it holds up. But the pairing of that sauce with sweet potatoes was EPIC.

When I make One Bowl Wonders, I love to combine flavors, textures and temperatures. When it comes to flavors, I try to include as many of the 6 Ayurvedic flavors as I possibly can. It is believed that the most well-balanced, nourishing meals reflect all 6 tastes: sweet, salty, sour, astringent, bitter, pungent (spicy). So when Kashi asked me to shift gears and make a breakfast One Bowl Wonder, I wanted to stay true to my process and combine hot oatmeal with cool, smooth yogurt and dry, crunchy Kashi as well as fold in all 6 Ayurvedic tastes!
