Anatomy for Yogis & Yoga Teachers
One of the areas many yogis and yoga teachers feel under-educated or under-resourced is human anatomy and physiology in spite of the fact that yoga classes tend to be primarily focused on our bodies as a tool for transformation. As such, as students we may feel in the dark about what's best for us and as teachers, we may find ourselves cuing alignment, movements and modifications that may not be rooted in functional anatomy and our capacity to serve our students remains limited.
In this 16-hour continuing education course suitable for both yoga teachers AND yoga practitioners, Gina makes anatomy and physiology accessible and digestible so that you can feel more empowered and resourced in your own practice as well as in the space you hold for your students.
Unlike a university-style anatomy course, this content is curated for the yoga teacher/practitioner and highlights essential anatomy knowledge presented in the context of yoga practice. We won't be simply memorizing muscle names but rather understanding how our bodies move, respond and transform in asana.
For teachers, this course will impact and elevate the way you are teaching alignment, cuing and offering hands-on-assists.
